POWER OF PINK

on October 1, 2010

October marks the Beginning of Breast Cancer Awareness month, and the teachers at Simpson are sporting their PINK during the month in support of this cause.  On September 30, many teachers stayed after school to dye their hair, and dine on “pink” dessserts while waiting for their hair to process.  We were thrilled to have three students from the Monroe Tech school joining us for this event to help with the dying process.  Beth, Victoriana, and Charlotte were AMAZING and they really helped us get the job done.

Below are some pictures from the event, as well as a group picture from this AM with the teachers who were supporting the cause by wearing PINK (clothing, hair extension clips and dye)  The profits from the Power of Pink will go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and the teachers raised nearly $50 to the cause!  Thanks to all those brave souls out their that dyed there hair – The kids are loving this and asking questions already!  This is going to be a great month!

Manic Panic is a vegan dye that will not damage your hair like other chemical treatments – You can get it at any Sally’s store, and it washes out gradually.
